We all played the game of tag when we were kids. Running like maniacs through the yard, never wanting to be "it" and would quickly dodge whoever was. Being "it" was the worst.
As adults, we find ourselves to be "it" often and it never seems to be fun now either. We have to make decisions. We have to choose people to be in our lives or not. We have to choose who to chase after, or not. We are "it." We hate it. What if we choose wrong? What if we chase after the one we cannot catch? Life is a game of tag and we are all just trying to win. I'm "it" way too often in life, and decision making is not my strong suite. I also surround myself with others who can't make decisions so our little game of tag is endless! We never choose. I am choosing to no longer be "it" all the time. I'm tired of chasing after people. I wanna play the game for once as the free one, running through the open yard, waiting to be caught. Now, when I say I'm done being "it," I don't mean it for everything. I still want to chase after my dreams, in that way, I will always choose to be "it." When it comes to others though, come and get me. I'm no longer "it." I'm as free as a bird and as light as a feather. Are you playing tag in my life right now? If so, try and catch me!
