Have you ever had to wait, in a waiting room? Yeah you have, but have you ever waited in a waiting room and the set up was awful? Today I went for a haircut, just a walk in appointment. I thought it'd be quick, in and out. The wait was 45 minutes. So I decided to be patient and wait in one of the chairs; read a magazine and check social media. I can pass the time easily. I take a seat in a chair and an older lady says a few things to me. I was so happy to get in from the 20 degree weather and chilling wind, I didn't care. As I sat there in my jacket, I continued to be cold. Why? Because the chairs are right beside the door and windows! Who the hell sets up a waiting room for uncomfortability? You want your customs to feel at home so they'll stay during their wait, not leave. I did stay because I needed that haircut. But if you are someone who does these things, use your head! It's common sense. Vent of the day, out!

You'll make a lot of friends in your lifetime, from a lot of different places, with a lot of different personalities. You've got your friends from childhood, your high school friends, your college friends, your fellow employee friends, and the list goes on. As I'm sure you already know, not all friendships last forever. You grow apart from some friends, distance did nothing for your friendship, you're constantly fighting, some are just not meant to be forever. Some friendships are put in your life to teach you a lesson, sometimes the lesson is so not obvious. Those friendships just sucked! Other friendships are for life. These friends stay by you through thick and thin. BFFs. These friends are honest with you, always love you no matter what, and you would do anything and everything for them. If you think about the friends you have currently, how many of them have been your friend for a long time? I'm sure at least one of these friends you've known for quite some time. As some of your closest friends you have met more recently at college or your job, your old friends will always be there. Here's why your oldest friends are some of your best friends: They know you better than you know yourself Your friends who have know you forever, know EVERYTHING about you. These old friends know what makes you happy without asking and what you love to do. You don't have to tell these friends anything because they know you like the back of their hand. They know when something is wrong and will be right over with ice cream and a movie before you know it. They were there for your worst moments They know your darkest secrets and most embarrassing moments. They remember when you puked all over the school's hallway and walked away like nothing happened. They were there for the photos you don't want anyone to see and laugh at them still. They were there when you got drunk and cried like your life was over when in reality, nothing was that bad. Despite these moments, they still want to be your friend. Really?! Distance is no factor Friends don't always get the dream of growing up and being next door neighbors. Putting distance between friends can be the real deal breaker. For these friends, distance will not ruin, even puncture the friendship. Your long distance friendship is better than any LD relationship. You still talk and text each other when something they NEED to know comes up. Even if you don't talk for a while, no biggie, you'll pick up where you left off next time you talk or chill. You can always count on them Problem at a job? Your newest relationship is seriously the worst. You're having the day from hell and just want to crawl in a hole. You know you can call up these friends and they won't judge you, they'll only try to give you advice because that's what they've always done. Honesty is their policy Your old friends are usually more likely to be honest with you, when you need the truth and nothing but the truth. They aren't afraid to hurt your feelings by telling you the dirty truth. These friends have been around for a while and know that lies aren't going to get you anywhere. Easiest to talk to You think of these friends right away when you just need to talk. You can confide in them without even thinking. Nothing against new friends, they can easily become these type of friends. They may also evolve one day into your new old friends. Cherish the good friends and don't let them go! If you're anything like me, winter is the devil, well the ice devil. You hate the cold, you really don't care for the snow, and the atmosphere just brings your mood below zero. Living in Pennsylvania, you can't avoid the winter weather unless you go south for the winter, and that's not always an option. I'm sure my fellow winter haters can relate; these are thoughts I have throughout this cold season. 1. First snow fall, f*ck winter is here. 2. Well, at least I don't have to shave for a few months. 3. I think I'll hibernate this year, yessss. 4. I'm seriously not leaving my house, or my bed. 5. I'm content with my coffee and tea, I'll binge watch movies and shows. 6. Ok I'm kinda bored, I guess I'll go somewhere. 7. Just let me put on pants, a shirt, another shirt, 2 jackets, gloves, all my socks.. 8. I have to clean off my car? F*ck it, I'm staying. 9. I did tell my friends I'd come, I guess I'll go. 10. My car will warm up in 2 hours, then I can leave. 11. Ok, here I go. The roads are sh*t. 12. I'm definitely gonna die on the way there, goodbye cruel world. 13. Like why does it have to snow? It doesn't, just stop. 14. These snow tires weren't even worth it, why did I come out? 15. Huh, I made it, there is a God. 16. But God wouldn't want this winter, he likes a sunny day right? 17. Seriously this is only the first snow, where's summer? 18. I could move. Leave it behind and hit the sunny states. 19. But then my winter wardrobe would be a waste. 20. I do like these scarves and sweaters, they're so cute. 21. Ok I'll stay, but just for this year. 22. I can make it one year, then I'm out. 23. Oh but I love a good cuddle to warm up on these cold nights. 24. Fires, cuddling, and hot cocoa >>>> all. 25. On second thought, I'll stay. 26. It's easier than moving right? 27. Global warming is coming anyway, it'll be summer all year in no time. 28. F*cking sh*t. Did I really just fall on the ice?! 29. That's it. I'm out. 30. Peace out you frozen hell. As seen by most, the world has come to an end, girls are going crazy, no one knows what to do. Snapchat has updated and seeing someones' best friends is no more. Since Snapchat became popular, you could view your friends' best friends and know who they snap the most. You'd check up on these lists to be nosey or simply because you're bored. Admit it, you've used this app to check up on who someone is snapping or if they're ignoring your texts because they opened your snap. People are outraged and Snapchat is a new toy to figure out. But how many people will continue to rage? How many will check others phones or ask who their best friends are because they are nosey or distrusting? In the world we live in today, it's easy for dishonest people to leave a trail on social media if they are cheating. With other sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, it's easy to hide your tracks. With Snapchat, it was all up to you and the people who run it. If you snapped someone you didn't want anyone else to know, it was hard to hide when they are sitting there as your number one BFF. As Snapchat brought us proof of liars or cheaters, it has now given us our privacy back. So everyone take a chill pill. If you are constantly obsessing on who someone is snapping, maybe you don't trust them like you should. Don't blame Snapchat, keep on snapping. Valentine's day is less than three weeks away, which means it's time to start planning out how you'll spend your day with your significant other, and what you want to get them. DON'T WAIT UNTIL LAST MINUTE. You don't want the crushed candy and dead flowers, "Happy Valentine's Day, I got you the shittiest gift ever." |
